“Intimacy isn’t something you have, it’s something you do. And you can learn to do it better.”
~ Terry Real
What makes a relationship great?
Most people are led to believe that the perfect relationship is a state of constant bliss, there’s no conflict, and intimacy always comes easily.
However, no relationship is like that all of the time. It’s an impossible, unrealistic goal that sets people up for disappointment and dissatisfaction.
Most, if not all, couples face challenges they feel like they can’t resolve.
Misunderstandings, miscommunications, and arguments that seem to go in circles often make partners feel disconnected. And instead of those feelings of love, trust, respect, honesty, and vulnerability they so desperately want back in their relationship…
What’s left are feelings of resentment and distance.
Feeling unappreciated.
Unheard.
And unloved.
What was once an intimate and cherishing place now feels cold and lonely.
But for couples who want to learn how to reconnect – how to cultivate authentic, deeper connections and true intimacy – there is a solution. A new way of relating. One that’s worked repeatedly – even for couples on the brink of separation.
It isn’t like traditional couple’s therapy or couple’s counseling. In fact, this method rips up the rule book. It’s designed to get to the heart of what’s causing tension between partners, and instead of simply “talking about it,” it provides actionable tools for transforming relationships and bringing back intimacy.
How do you know if this method is right for your relationship? If you resonate with any points from the checklist below, our relationship bootcamp can help…

Do You Have These Challenges in Your Relationship?
You feel like you’re the only one who knows what needs to be done at home. You’re in a cycle of frustration and disappointment. You constantly remind your partner, and you feel exhausted and overloaded mentally.
These challenges are common symptoms of a much larger issue with how most people relate to one another in intimate relationships. The skills needed to maintain a thriving relationship are not taught at a young age. While most people know that it’s critical to communicate and resolve conflicts, they often lack the tools and techniques that foster true understanding and connection.
They were never shown how to navigate the complexities of a romantic relationship effectively. Ultimately, they tend to replicate the patterns they observed growing up, whether they were healthy or not.
If you were treated harshly or with indifference as a child, you might find yourself in relationships where these cycles are being repeated in your adult relationships.
“We need to learn to speak up and speak our truth in ways that aim to save the relationship, not destroy it.”
~ Risa Ganel, LCMFT
Without the right skills, even the best intentions can lead to more conflict and distance. Effective communication, conflict resolution, and emotional intimacy are not innate abilities; they are learned skills.
Your goal as a couple isn’t to just understand your problems; you need concrete tools to dismantle destructive patterns and build a relationship based on mutual respect, effective communication, and emotional honesty.
It’s not about endless talking; it’s about a new paradigm. Unlike traditional therapy, you need a method that empowers both partners to actively participate in transforming their relationship patterns.
The dynamics in your relationship can change dramatically once you learn skills that promote (and maintain) true intimacy.
Here’s what it looks like…
If that sounds like the relationship you want with your partner, I invite you to attend our two-day relationship bootcamp
April 5th and 6th, 2025.
Introducing the Relationship Bootcamp
Transform your relationship by joining the 2-Day Relationship Bootcamp in Annapolis, MD.
This intensive workshop is designed to equip couples and individuals with the essential skills and techniques to transform the health of ALL their relationships.
The Relationship Bootcamp will teach you techniques based on Relational Life Therapy (RLT).
RLT, developed by world-renowned therapist Terry Real, focuses on fostering genuine connection and resolving deep-rooted relationship issues. Unlike traditional therapy, in which the therapist does not “take sides,” RLT addresses both partners’ contributions, role, and behaviors and their impact on the relationship.
It emphasizes the importance of mutual respect, effective communication, and emotional honesty. You will also learn to recognize and break destructive patterns in your relationship, creating a more balanced and loving partnership.
This bootcamp is best for couples who want to unite and transform their relationship into something more connected, intimate, and fulfilling. By attending with your partner, you can actively participate in learning and applying the techniques, supporting your work together towards a stronger bond.
This bootcamp isn’t group or couples therapy. It’s an educational workshop, where you will have the opportunity to learn a new paradigm for relating. It’s a unique, dynamic opportunity for you and your partner to come together and apply techniques that will help you.
Couples and individuals of all ages, races, and sexual orientations are welcome.
If you can only attend as an individual, you can still gain invaluable insights and techniques from the experience. While working together with your partner is ideal, the knowledge you gain can help you better understand your role in your relationship pattern and provide you with tools to use within your relationship after the workshop. You will be equipped to make positive changes independently, which can still lead to significant improvements.
Therapists are also encouraged to join as you can deepen your understanding of RLT and apply these techniques in your relationship. By participating in the Relational Bootcamp, you will learn how to integrate the same core fundamentals that you will use to guide your clients.
